What is Regenerative Agriculture?
The Soil, Where Life Begins
Soil is not just earth. It is a living ecosystem – a dynamic community of plants, insects and microorganisms beneath our feet. This invisible network sustains food production, regulates water cycles, stores carbon and supports biodiversity. Protecting soil means protecting life itself.

Protection and improvement of soil health is at the core of regenerative agriculture and of the Harmony certification. Regenerative agriculture starts with the soil but also goes beyond it: it is a science-based and holistic approach to farming that aims to restore and improve the long-term health of the land, biodiversity, and farmer livelihoods.
Through practices such as diversified crop rotations, soil cover, reduced soil disturbance and biodiversity protection, regenerative agriculture strengthens soil fertility, improves water retention, enhances carbon sequestration, and builds climate resilience.
Harmony is strongly rooted in regenerative agriculture and shares the common mission: building an agricultural system designed to produce while regenerating.
